It's a good thing gas prices are so low

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and the Dave Matthews Band are the two headliners for the two-day Mile High Music Festival in Denver on July 19 and 20.

The final lineup of artists has been announced for the inaugural festival, arguably the biggest rock music festival ever in the Intermountain West.

Here are just some of the performers: John Mayer, the Black Crowes, O.A.R., Spearhead, Steve Winwood, Spoon, Flogging Molly, Jason Mraz, Lupe Fiasco, Flobots, Colbie Caillat, OneRepublic and the Roots.

Single-day passes for $85 and full-festival passes for $150 are available at www.milehighmusicfestival.com or by calling 866-461-6556.

The festival will be at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. every day and closing at 11 p.m.

Hey, don't forget that two-day VIP packages are available for $495. Not counting service charges.

The distance to Dick's Park from downtown Salt Lake City is 570 miles.

David Burger is the pop music/pop culture writer at The Salt Lake Tribune. He's been at several newspapers, including Scranton, Pennsylvania, the home of "The Office." Before that, he spent five years in the Coast Guard. There, on boring midnight watches on the bridge, he would try to keep himself awake and/or keep from throwing up by singing "Thunder Road" to himself while balancing a sextant on his nose. (He'd also look for drowning people, of course.) He also likes condiments, except when throwing up.
