At Thursday's "Rock Band Live" Tour with Dashboard Confessional, Plain White T's and Panic at the Disco, fans who show up to the E Center at about 6 p.m. will get the chance to compete for a slot playing "Rock Band" on stage in between the performers' sets.
If you think you have a good chance of making it, don't be so sure. I got this message from area resident Michael Roussin:
"I was pleasantly surprised to see your article in the Salt Lake Tribune yesterday. It brought back some good memories from Crue Fest in July at Usana Amphitheater. My nieces, sister-in-law, and I play Rock Band on a weekly basis. We entered the contest at Crue Fest not really thinking we stood a chance at all. We ended up winning the contest, met members of Sixx AM and Trapt, played Trapt's song in Rock Band with two of their members, and then played on stage just before Motley Crue came out. I wrote a sizeable blog about it on Rock Band's site - http://www.rockband.com/users/BacchusDisciples/comments. We will be at the concert this week, hoping that lightning can strike twice for our band, Psycho $ingles Ward. Wish us luck!"
Psycho $ingles Ward is shown above at Crue Fest.
