We almost ran out of time for Matt Damon
The 2008 American Music Awards will be held Sunday, Nov. 23, and Jimmy Kimmel will once again host the event. (It is his fifth time.)
The show will begin at 7 p.m. Mountain time on ABC. It will be quite the entertainment weekend for SLC, considering Celine Dion performs here that Friday and Coldplay will be here Saturday.
Performers at the event with include Pink and the Jonas Brothers.
Also, for the second time in AMA history, winners will be determined by online voting at amc.abc.com Votes can be registered between Oct. 14 to Nov. 7. By the way, no offense to the general public, but I hate it when people like myself get to vote for award winners. I prefer the Oscars and the Emmys to the People's Choice Awards, because with the first two, I believe experts give better opinions than people like me and you, and they reward greatness, not popularity. Who remembers Oscar winners? Everyone. Who remembers People's Choice Award winners? No one.
I'll still vote, though.
