Shows this weekend
Flogging Molly
This seven-piece Celtic punk band formed in Los Angeles and earned its name after playing many, many shows at a pub called Molly Malone’s. The band’s most recent release, “Float,” was a politically minded album that debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard album chart. Hepcat is also on the bill.

Shinedown
The Jacksonville hard rock band’s best-known songs to the masses are a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man” (above) and the theme song for a recent season of an MTV reality show. But the band has been a rock radio mainstay, with all 10 of its singles reaching the top 5 of Billboard’s Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, the first band to do so.

Brooke White (below), Michael Johns

White’s debut album was produced by Randy Jackson and is a throwback to 1970s country-pop, while Johns’ debut displays the soulful voice that helped the Australian transplant finish in the top 10.
