I share an affection for ellipses with this Austin rock band that loves to experiment and push artistic boundaries. The name could be taken from an ancient Mayan ritual chant, or it could be a joke: The band won’t say. Its sixth album, “The Century of Self,” was released in February.

Say Anything
The Los Angeles alt-rock band takes its name from Cameron Crowe’s film of the same name. Bayside and Eisley are also on the bill. Say Anything’s self-titled new album will be released on Nov. 3. Bayside (above) is a Long Island alt-rock band, and Eisley is an indie-rock band made of family members who definitely aren’t Partridges.
