KUED & The Beatles
Premiering on Nov. 28 (check local listings), PBS affiliates such as KUED will present two new music specials that feature some of the greatest rock 'n' roll performances of all time.
-- "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Live" presents a compilation of some of the most unforgettable rock performances ever — some never before seen on television. The annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies are always the hottest ticket in town and the incredible talent jamming on stage together always makes rock history. You'll see George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, John Fogerty, Mick Jagger and Billy Joel — and that's just the first song.
-- From the late 1940s until the early 1970s, Sunday night was the night for everyone to gather round the TV set to watch the newest, hottest musical acts from the Beatles, to the Rolling Stone to the Beach Boys. "Ed Sullivan's Rock and Roll Classics" — the 60s presents some of the most famous performances from "I Want to Hold Your Hand" to Jim Morrison's scorching "Light My Fire" performance.
