DVD that teaches guitar
Fret12, a leading music tutorial service, has announced its newest product line: "The Sound and The Story" series of DVDs. The DVDs combine instruction along with stories behind the songs and the riffs, "forever changing the face of staid guitar tutorials and giving fans what they crave," a press release trumpets.
Leslie West (above, on left) is the second guitar instructional release in the new series. West is the frontman and lead guitarist of hard rock trio Mountain; his signature sound can be heard in classic songs including “Mississippi Queen," “Never In My Life," “Theme From An Imaginary Western," and “Nantucket Sleighride.”
This is Leslie West’s first-ever guitar tutorial. "Leslie West: The Sound and The Story" DVD is packed with over 3 hours of footage, including the story and breakdown of West’s biggest hits, 14 exercises covering all aspects of the guitar, guest appearances by guitar greats Zakk Wylde (above), Joe Satriani, Mark Tremonti, and much more. The DVD comes with a signed letter from West himself.
