Westminster's month of spirit
As the holidays approach, Westminster College will host three concerts throughout the month of December to celebrate the season. All events are open to the public. The line-up includes:
Westminster Chamber Singers Holiday Choral Concert
December 5, 7:30 p.m. in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall, Emma Eccles Jones Conservatory
Directed by Westminster’s Dr. Christopher Quinn, the Chamber Singers will perform an evening of vocal and instrumental holiday favorites. Selections will include both traditional and contemporary holiday carols, such as “Carols, Rejoice!,” “Ring Merry Bells,” and “Silent Night for all the World.” General admission is $8 at the door or $5 if purchased online.
Westminster Chamber Orchestra in Concert
December 7, 7:30 p.m. in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall, Emma Eccles Jones Conservatory
Directed by Westminster’s Dr. Karyln Bond, this concert will feature a wonderful array of classical music selections.
Westminster Community Chorale Concert
December 12, 7:30 p.m. in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall, Emma Eccles Jones Conservatory
Directed by Jean Applonie, this concert will feature a variety of music spanning from holiday to contemporary sung by members of the Salt Lake community. Selections will range from Brian Lewis’ Sanctus, to Jack Schrader’s Silent Night.
