Must-See TV
LARAMIE, Wyo. - The BYU's men's basketball game against Wyoming tomorrow falls at a timely hour for the team to watch the funeral of Gordon B. Hinckley.
The service for Hinckley, the head of the LDS Church who died last Sunday at age 97, will take place at 11 a.m. at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City.
BYU's game is at 2 p.m., and the team should be back from its walk-through at Arena-Auditorium in time to tune into the service. But finding it on TV might be tough.
The funeral is being broadcast live on Utah TV stations and BYUTV, and in 69 languages to 6,000 Mormon buildings worldwide. But the Hampton Inn here does not have BYUTV as part of its channel selections.
The best option for the team might be to grab someone's computer and watch it online at www.lds.org or at KSL.com. The option the young lady at the hotel desk gave, "Maybe you can go to a local bar," probably wouldn't be a good idea for obvious reasons on many levels.
But BYU head coach Dave Rose said if the Cougars can find it somewhere and everything else is on schedule, the players can watch it on TV.
