Start planning now ... The Mtn. will begin running on DirecTV just in time for football season.
The network announced a launch date of Wednesday, Aug. 27th on Channel 616.
The Mtn. will be available on DirecTV's Choice and above packages for the states and DMAs servicing Mountain West Conference institutions: Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming plus the markets of Dallas/Fort Worth and San Diego. Customers throughout the remainder of the county will be able to access The Mtn. with a subscription to DirecTV's SportsPack.
The Mtn. will broadcast 30 live regular-season football games for 2008, including six triple-header Saturdays. The network also will telecast over 100 men's and women's basketball games in addition to news, features, original programming and analysis on MWC teams, coaches and players.
I am just happy I won't have to get my brother a birthday present. The Mtn. arriving on his birthday should suffice.
