Freshman Marc Oslund struck out eight to get the win and improve to 6-1.
Brandon Michon and Jordan Muir pitched well in relief.
Washington native Sean McNaughton hit a lead-off triple in which caromed off the centerfield wall in the third inning and scored BYU's first run on Stetson Banks' groundout.
The final BYU run came in the ninth when Andrew Law doubled to left-center, advanced to third on a play where Banks made it to first on a fielder's choice. Law then scored on a sac-fly by Kent Walton.
The Cougars, now 28-21, have won four in a row. The two teams will meet again tonight in Seattle.
