Basketball recruit BYU contacted will sign with Creighton
As a follow-up to the mention of possible BYU basketball recruit Greg Allen of Eureka High in Northern California: The writer from the Times-Standard who first mentioned that BYU was interested in Allen has just informed me that Allen has announced he will sign with Creighton on Tuesday at 12:45 p.m.
So cross that name off the very short (and mysterious) list.
Also, I should note that if BYU doesn't sign someone before Wednesday, it does not necessarily mean it won't add another player to the 2009-2010 roster.
Wednesday is the deadline for signing players to national letters of intent. The way I understand it, players can sign non-binding financial aid agreements pretty much any time.
