BYU pitcher Oslund makes all-tournament team
BYU pitcher Marc Oslund was named to the all-tournament team at the 2009 Mountain West Conference baseball tournament wrapped up Saturday afternoon in Fort Worth, Texas.
Oslund, a 6-foot-5 righthander from Torrance, Calif., was the only BYU player on the all-tourney team.
The Cougars went 2-2 at the tournament and finished with a 30-24 overall record. They were eliminated by No. 10 TCU 9-2 on Thursday.
Utah won the tournament Saturday with a 9-3 win over San Diego State and will make its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 1960.
Former Skyline High star Tyler Yagi hit .345 and earned the tournament's Most Valuable Player award.
