ESPN experts differ on BYU bowl projections
Never too early for bowl projections, right?
I just noticed that ESPN’s college football experts, Bruce Feldman and Mark Schlabach, have posted their 2009-10 bowl projections.
Here’s the link.
Both guys have TCU in a BCS bowl. Feldman has the Frogs playing Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl; Schlabach has Gary Patterson’s team facing Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl.
As for the Cougars, Schlabach has them playing Oregon State in the San Diego Poinsettia Bowl, and Utah meeting Stanford in the Las Vegas Bowl.
Feldman has the Cougs facing OSU in the Las Vegas Bowl, and Utah playing Cal in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Those who have followed BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall over the years know that he shares very little about his personal life.
The coach did open up a little today in his news conference, marveling about how his wife, Holly, is now a big college football fan after not being into it at all for most of their marriage.
“It is unbelievable,” Bronco said. “She watches all the time now, and so when we came home from trick-or-treating from Halloween [Saturday night], she turned on the games. And so she watched USC and Oregon, she watched part of Utah and Wyoming, there was one other one she was flipping back and forth to,” he said. “So I am having a hard time getting away from it now that she is wanting to watch it.”
Asked if he ever watches games on TV to pick up ideas, Mendenhall said:
“No. I was helping the boys barter their candy. Breaker likes Hershey bars, so he got some pretty good deals for trading those, and Holly was watching the games.”
