IRS e-mail scam
I have received several e-mails that appear to be from the Internal Revenue Service. But they aren't. The IRS does not send e-mails to taxpayers, the agency says. In fact, what appears to be an unsolicited e-mail from the IRS could be actually from a scam artist trying to get you to reveal personal information. Don't respond to the e-mail, don't click on any links and don't open any attachments. Just send it to the IRS at phishing@irs.gov.
