$10 off $20 purchase at Kohl's

August 20th, 2009

Just in time for back-to-school shopping, Kohl's is offering one of its best coupons ever. The coupon is a post-it note on the front of the newspaper today. Kohl's generally allows shoppers to combine offers, so if you have a Kohl's credit card or qualify for a 15 percent off shopping pass in any other way, you can use it with this coupon for extra savings.

Free film developing at Walgreens

August 19th, 2009

Do you have any undeveloped film around the house? Check out this one-day offer for free developing from Walgreens. Remember, it's only good on film —  including one-time use cameras — not on digital prints.

Walgreens does have an offer of 25 free 4x6 prints for digital camera customers. Go here for more information about that offer. Tip: I've ordered prints online from Walgreens and picked them up in the store. If you do that, you don't have to pay shipping.

Another Walgreens deal that starts today and runs through Saturday:  Spend $25, get a $5 "Register Rewards" voucher good for a later purchase. Ask your local store for any details of this offer before you shop.

Thanks MoneySavingMom!

Free (or cheap) stuff at Target

August 18th, 2009

It's our family's version of a scavenger hunt — finding free or nearly free stuff at Target. We went over the weekend, and ended up with an assortment of items, including healthy staples such as apples and bananas and some not-so-healthy items such as Pepperidge Farm cookies.

Here are two of my favorite web sites that do a great job of showing you exactly what to buy and which coupon to use to get lots of free stuff:

Money Saving Mom — go here to read "Target: Deals and Freebies this Week,";  "Target: More Freebies this Week" and Target: Dove Visibly Smooth Deodorant for only 29 cents."

Utah Deal Diva — go here to read "Target Freebies."
