Food Star
New Jersey chef Aaron McCargo Jr., won the fourth season of "The Next Food Network" star on Sunday. (He is pictured here with Utah contestant Kelsey Nixon.)

But just how popular will McCargo's bold-flavored show "Big Daddy's House," (which premieres on Aug 3) be with viewers?

Previous winners of the culinary reality show have had mixed success.

Guy Fieri, season two winner, has had the most star power, hosting three shows, including "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."

"The Gourmet Next Door" the show that featured season three winner, Amy Finley, was successful and would have renewed, but Finley and her family moved to France. The lifestyle of a television star and the thick skin needed to survive the criticism and personal attacks just didn't blend with her goals, she said.

And has anyone seen season one winners, Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh, on the airwaves?
