Kudos to California
I'm happy to see the folks in La La land step up when it comes to saving our health.

Last week, California became the first state to ban the use of trans fats in restaurants and bakeries.

And Monday, the Los Angeles City Council put a yearlong moratorium on new fast-food restaurants hoping to encourage establishments that serve healthier food.

Are these things that government should spend its time on? Probably not.

But one look at the scales and it's obvious we can't be trusted to do it ourselves.
