Global eating
Besides athlete bios, event schedules and photos, this NBC website offers 19 globally-inspired recipes for those with Summer Olympic fever.

Offerings include chicken, zucchini and vegemite molasses pizza from Australia (pictured here); duck spring rolls with mushrooms and bok choy from China; and pineapple rum raisin souffle with toasted coconut from Kenya.

Hopefully, more recipes will be added as the games continue, namely from Greece — where the Olympics began — and the United States.

Unfortunately, none of the gourmet recipes on the site come from athletes or cooks from the respective countries. Contestants from "Top Chef," BRAVO's culinary reality show, provided them.

About Kathy
Kathy Stephenson has been the food writer at The Tribune since 2000. Prior to that she covered education and was a general assignment reporter for Utah's largest daily newspaper. A Utah native, Stephenson's first job was picking zucchini on her grandparent's Kaysville farm. Every Christmas, Stephenson's neighbors and colleagues look forward to getting a plate of her baklava. Last year, she gave away nearly 300 pieces.
