Weekday Market at the U.

For busy folks who can't visit the downtown Farmer's Market on Saturdays, the University of Utah has a solution.

It is starting a weekday farmer's market beginning tomorrow, Aug. 28, on the lawn just east of Pioneer Theatre.

 U. President Michael K. Young and Salt Lake City Councilman Luke Garrott will be at the inaugural event at noon, encouraging students, faculty, staff and the surrounding community to purchase fresh, local food and support area artisans.

The campus market will continue every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  through Oct. 2, the beginning of fall break.
