Whether you've consumed a bean burrito or a bowl of spicy bean chili, someone always has to chant: "Beans, beans the magical fruit."

But we've been tooting about the wrong thing all these years. Beans are really vegetables.

A national group has aired a complaint and now it is gasing, errr gearing up, to right this terrible musical wrong.

"Beans. The Vegetable with More" is asking folks to grab a video camera and redo this favorite diddy. There are just two requirements:

1. Begin your chant with the phrase “Beans, beans”
2. Somewhere in your lyrics/chant you must say that beans are a vegetable or veggie.

Upload your video to http://www.BeanChant.com/ The grand prize is $5,000 and a trip for four to New York City to perform your winning chant.

Entries will be accepted between Sept. 11 and Dec. 12, 2008.
