HSM3 with a healthy twist

Disney would never let Troy, Gabriella and the rest of the senior class at the fictional East High School graduate without some sort of contest and marketing cross-promotion.

But by hooking up with Sara Lee for the new High School Musical movie "HSM3-Senior Year," the two companies just might get kids eating more healthy whole grains. (In Utah, where Sara Lee has a production facility, it also means helping the local economy.)

The new movie, which like the previous two were filmed in Utah, opens Oct. 24. But the contests already are underway.

Kids can enter to win $5,000 and a free screening with Corbin Bleu for themselves and 100 of their closest friends. The code they need is inside marked packages of Sara Lee's Soft and Smooth whole grain bread. Enter online at thejoyofeating.com

Children kindergarten through 8th grade also can upload an original 90-second video on the importance of whole grains and have a chance to win a $25,000 grant and a free screening.

There are also some A-plus recipes on the site, such as Gabriella's chicken salad sandwich and Troy's favorite PB&J, as well as clips from the movie.

Makes me hungry and excited for some pomp and circumstance.
