Who took the tabouleh?
First it was Champagne. Then feta cheese. Now, Lebanon wants to claim tabouleh, hummus and falafel as its own.

Lebanon is planning to file an international lawsuit against Israel, claiming the country markets these original foods unlawfully, according to this news website from Israel.

Fadi Abboud, president of the Lebanese Industrialist Association, said his country has lost "tens of millions of dollars annually" because of the stolen culinary copyright.

Abboud's claim is based on a similar suit filed several years ago that involved Greece and feta cheese. France Denmark and Germany claimed Greece could not have the monopoly on this crumbly white cheese.

But Greece proved that it was the original creator and it won the case.
