One World vs Real World
Salt Lake City's One World Everybody Eats Cafe has always operated under this idealistic premise: customers take only what they can eat and pay what they can afford.

But business realities may have caught up with the 5- year old restaurant at 41 S. 300 East in Salt Lake City.

According to this report in the Nov. 6 Salt Lake City Weekly, employee paychecks have bounced in recent months and the long-time manager and four employees were fired, supposedly without an explanation from founder Denise Cerreta, pictured here. The situation angered several remaining employees, who walked out in protest on Oct. 17.

On top of all that, One World did not file the proper non-profit state permits, City Weekly reported

Cerreta will respond to the personnel and policy changes as well as the the non-profit status questions on Friday during a media conference call.
