Seasonal Beer Finds Made Easy
The hottest brews these days are seasonal or special releases, available only for a short time each year. If you don't pay attention, you could miss out on some gems.

Fortunately, a new website www.seasonalbeerandfood.org can help you keep track of what's available. The site is set up by the Brewers Association, the national trade group that represents the majority of U.S. brewing companies. But all posting come directly from the breweries.

Search the database by state or season. Look under winter beers in Utah and you'll find 14 different offerings that soon will be available in the Beehive. I'm thinking Powder Hound Winter Ale, from Big Sky Microbrewery in Missoula sounds good. So does the Winter Solstice Ale from Anderson Valley Brewing Co., in Boonville, Calif.

Besides finding what is available, brewers give suggestions on what food to pair with their beer.
