SLC dining goes beyond green Jell-O
I was a little nervous when I read the first paragraph of this Nov. 16 Washington Post story. Once again, an article about Utah that leads off with a quote about shredded vegetables in Jell-O.

How original!

Fortunately, reporter Jennifer Margules dug a little deeper, praising Utah's family-oriented culture and our up-and-coming dining scene.

"....there's another side to Salt Lake City food: a foodie culture that includes offbeat and even New Age-y restaurants that are proving as popular as places serving home-style cooking." she writes.

The article singled out four of Salt Lake City's best: The Red Iguana, Sage's Cafe, Tin Angel and One World Cafe. None of which have Jell-O on the menu.

As the story notes, you'll have to get that at a family reunion.
