Pierre Country Bakery rises again
Pierre Country Bakery and Cafe, at 3239 E. 3300 South, reopened last week, with long-time owner Marsha Smith returning to the helm.Smith had owned and operated the business since 2002. But health issues forced her to sell in February of this year.
But during the last 10 months, the new management was unsuccessful, so Smith stepped back in. She has rehired her old bakers and managers and is offering the same made-from-scratch menu. The crew also is prepared to make all its Christmas specialties including buche de Noel, panetone and stollen.
The Bakery’s is open Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Let's support this "Utah's Own" wonderful made-from-scratch fresh-daily bakery so we can keep the quality, variety, consistency and friendly service of this business in our neighborhood for another 30 years!

I admit, several weeks ago during my last trip to REI, I was saddened when I saw the doors closed...Can't wait to go back for some of those and the quiche! Very yummy!

I was in Pierre's yesterday, it was like old times but even better!
The staff is very friendly,the place is sparkling clean and cozy. I don't think many people know they are open again so we need to let everyone know.
The Pain au chocolate and the sticky buns are to die for! They have the best Buche de Noel in the state.
I am originally from Normandy, France, I miss the authentic breads and pastries but Pierre's is a little piece of home to me.
I don't live in the neighborhood, but the 30 minute drive twice each week is worth it to be able to experience Pierre's.

If you haven't been into Pierre's for their lunch specials, you have not lived! It is wonderful to have this exceptional bakery in our area. Thank you for re-opening and providing the quality and friendliness we really missed while you were gone!
Best quiche in the world!! you must visit this bakery to see ALL the delightful fresh goodies available - m-m-m-m-m-m-m!!
