From wine to RAIN
When Panache, an upscale restaurant and wine bar closed in downtown Salt Lake City a few years ago, owner Shauna Engen told customers she planned to open another wine bar somewhere else in the city.

Since then there have been rumors of possible locations from the Gateway Mall to Sugarhouse. But, yesterday, I learned that it won't be happening at all.

"The current economic situation has taken a toll on many of our plans, and as a result, I have chosen to move on," Engen said in an email to former Panache customers and friends.

Engen and new partner, Forreset Cuch, are now part of an organization called Rising American Indian Nations (RAIN). The organization is working with KUED to introduce people to American Indian stories that have never before been told.
