Utah's first organic egg farm
The Fassio Egg Farm in Erda recently became certified organic --- making it Utah's first large-scale organic egg producer.

The flock lives cage-free and is fed a vegetarian diet with no added hormones or antibiotics.

The brown eggs, which are high in heart-healthy Omega 3s, are sold under the "Rocky Mountain Eggs" brand. They are now available on a limited basis at Reams and the Fassio Egg Farms Drive Up Window, 3664 S. 5200 West, West Valley City. But look for them soon at Albertson's and Sunflower Market.

Last year, she gave away nearly 300 pieces.
