Pork Still Safe to Eat
My appetite for pork soulvaki and shredded pork burritos has waned in the last few days as the swine flu epidemic makes it way from Mexico to the U.S.

But logically you can't contract swine flu (which is now being called “North American influenza." A much better name.) by eating pork. Here's the officials statement from The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website

"Swine influenza viruses are not spread by food. You cannot get swine influenza from eating pork or pork products. Eating properly handled and cooked pork products is safe."
