Vote for the best Italian food in Provo?
Someone emailed recently to tell me there was now a triumvirate of great (non-chain) Italian restaurant in Provo --- all within a few blocks from one another.

Ottavios on Center Street. La Dolce Vita on 100 East; and Gloria's Little Italy, the newcomer, on the corner of University Ave. and Center.

Which one is the best? And what should I order when I go?

I suppose it's all what you are looking for. I obviously have not been to the new place, but I've been to the other places enough to know better. If your idea of "good Italian" is overcooked pasta and hamburger at the only meat in your Ragu. If you like your chicken overcooked, these are the places for you. There is no great Italian in Utah County -- whose surprised by this? Carrabba's is the best acceptable Italian in the Valley. They make very competent food. The market is wide open for a good independent Italian restaurant. It doesn't exist yet, and the bar is very low.
