Thanks for sticking with me on the blog, even though we have differing opinions on the value of Golden State's Stephen Jackson to a franchise. I appreciate your input.
Regarding Quinton Ross, I have not heard his name specifically mentioned in any trade rumors. I do know that after a late-season loss at Sacramento, coach Mike Dunleavy made it a point to say Elton Brand and Quinton were his only two players to "show up," despite the importance of the game. So I'm guessing Dunleavy likes him.
The Clippers own an $826,000 option on Quinton's contract for next season. I figure they will exercise that relatively cheap option and keep him. As you noted, he is a solid young player who doesn't have to shoot the ball 20 times to help his team.
Quinton is also a nice, personable young man. He's the kind of guy a coach would love to see succeed. He tried out for the Jazz a couple of years ago and played well during his brief time here. Coach Jerry Sloan liked him a lot, but Utah didn't have a roster spot available at that time.
I have followed Quinton's career since he left Utah, knowing that the Jazz might be interested again if he ever becomes a free agent, which could happen again prior to the 2008-09 season. So Jazz fans should stay keep his name in mind.
Now, back to your original question.
I think Quinton will play next season in Los Angeles. But the Clippers' disastrous slide from challenging for the No. 6 seed to falling completely out of the playoffs probably means no one on the roster is safe except Brand -- if the price is right.

Steve,
Thanks for the response, I really appreciate it.
I'd also like to say that I really like the blogs that you and Ross are doing. In some ways, they end up being even more informative than the regular articles/columns (that is not a knock on the articles), particularly the blogs where you discuss the interactions you have with the players.
Keep up the good work.
Jon
