Earlier this summer, Ceisler cited the cases of fellow young restricted free agents Amir Johnson and Andray Blatche in explaining why Miles had opted to skip the Rocky Mountain Revue and not put a new contract at risk of an injury.
It also was suggested that the Jazz might not give Miles the opportunity to showcase himself in the Revue and thus drive up his price. The example given was Miles scoring 20 points in the first half and then curiously sitting in favor of Ronnie Brewer in the second half.
Now, Blatche has since re-signed (five years, $15 million) with Washington and Johnson (three years, $11 million) with Detroit while Miles has been on the free-agent market for 53 days and counting.
If you can't get enough Jazz news, there's a second blog item below about Deron Williams and the Americas tournament.
