"Nothing yet," Hornacek said. "But I expect things to start falling into place this week."
Corbin? Same thing.
"I haven't heard anything," he said.
Corbin has been an assistant with the Jazz for four seasons. He interviewed once in Chicago and, last week, was called back for a second interview with Phoenix.
The top candidates for the Suns' job appear to be Detroit assistant Terry Porter, Houston assistant Elston Turner, and Corbin. However, GM Steve Kerr also wants to interview San Antonio's Mike Budenholzer and, perhaps, Boston assistant Tom Thibodeau when the Celtics' run to the NBA Finals ends. As a result, Phoenix might not have its coach in place for a couple of weeks.
In Chicago, veteran coach-turned-broadcaster Doug Collins is the apparent the frontrunner.
Last week, one internet Web site, citing unnamed sources, reported that Hornacek would be hired as Collins' top assistant with the stipulation that, when Collins steps aside in the not-too-distant future, Hornacek would take over as the Bulls' head coach.
"Well," Hornacek said, "that would be a heck of an opportunity. But I haven't heard about anything like that."
