You have to wonder if the Clippers will try to bring back Shaun Livingston, whom they did not tender a qualifying offer. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Jazz were one of several teams to call about Corey Maggette today, which makes sense considering they signed him to an offer sheet back in 2003.
Without Davis, the Warriors all of a sudden have a huge hole to fill. From a Jazz perspective, I wonder if they won't make a play to acquire Andrei Kirilenko in a trade. He would fit well playing power forward in Don Nelson's offense and his contract (three years, $50 million remaining) makes it difficult for the Jazz to stay under the luxury tax.
I'm not sure the Warriors have anybody that interests the Jazz - - Al Harrington? Matt Barnes? Mickael Pietrus? - - and it's not easy to match contracts when it comes to Kirilenko. Maybe there's a third team out there that would be interested. Or maybe the Jazz are perfectly happy to let a Western Conference rival suffer.
