The Boozer Billboard Challenge
If you've been driving along the Wasatch Front the past couple of weeks, you probably couldn't help but see the Jazz's new billboards. The Jazz are selling what they're calling "You Pick 'Em Plans," where fans can create their own ticket package for as little as $135 for five games.

As part of their ad campaign, the Jazz have paired one of their players with one of the NBA's stars on billboards around town. Driving around, I've seen billboards featuring Deron Williams, Paul Millsap, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett. I'm sure those who travel I-15 regularly can add to the list.

My question is whether any of the billboards feature Carlos Boozer. I'm not presuming an answer, I'm just interested in whether anybody's seen one. We already know the Jazz have been selling Boozer jerseys for 50 percent off at Fanzz stores this summer. There has to be at least one Boozer billboard, right, even if it's down in Fillmore?

For what it's worth, here's the five games I would pick: Nov. 5 San Antonio (TNT), Jan. 14 Cleveland (TNT) - - the Cavaliers will have two off days before playing in Utah - - Feb. 3 Portland (ESPN), March 22 Boston. There's two Lakers games - - Dec. 12 and Feb. 10 - - and it's hard to say which to choose.

The Lakers will be arriving for the second game of a back-to-back set in December, though they will have played 11 of their previous 12 games at home. The February game will be the last before the All-Star break for both teams, but the Jazz will be on the back-to-back that time. I'd go with the Dec. 12 game, personally.

And if anybody can find a Carlos Boozer billboard, let me know where it is and I'll go take a picture under it this weekend for the blog. As long as it's not in Fillmore.

UPDATE: The ad in the Tribune's sports section this morning featured Millsap opposite LeBron James. We're still looking for that first Boozer sighting.

Perhaps they put it in Juneau, Alaska--his hometown. It may be the only place it would not be "messed" with. When I make my way up there later in September, I'll be sure to let you know. I hope you make the trip for a quick pic....

Its just a "Gosh Darn" shame this whole thing has transpired. Yes, Booz should have kept his mouth shut about opting out while he was injured. But all this crap about his lack of interest in the team and being a "Me" player really is an ignorant thing to say. His record speaks for itself. As far as injuries go, he has never faked one and when he can begin play because of them is strictly up to the team physician! So,why doesn't everyone just keep quiet! Hopefully, sometime this year Booz will be traded(I hope to a team in the East since that's where I am.
In closing, I will say one thing. When Booz goes, so will DWill's pick n roll! Nobody else on the team has the faintest idea of how its run! DWill to Booz was an awesome sight to watch and they worked it to perfection. I don't understand why DWill isn't defending him!

D Will doesnt defend him because he knows that with or without Boozer, the Jazz have no chance at a title. So why step in when the desired result is out of reach. The Jazz are like a billboard themselves. Something you see on your way to the Finals, but never actually there.
