A great battle between the U.K.'s Osipczak and the U.S.'s Miller went back and forth in the first round. At one point, Miller was caught in a deep choke and looked like he may have tapped out, but it wasn't definitive, and he freed himself shortly after.
The fight came to an end in the second round when Osipczak threw a perfectly timed right head kick, dropping Miller. I guess you could say he started the U.K.'s campaign off on the right foot (groan).
The star of the episode was Johnson, who seems to be the early leader of the U.S. team and the main antagonist for Michael Bisping and the Brits. Last episode showed a feud simmering between Johnson and the U.K. coach, and that's bound to intensify after Johnson began the house pranks.
Johnson found a U.K. team T-shirt in a common area of the house, got a bleach pen and wrote "U.S. 1, U.K 0" on it. Then made a ransom note and told the Brits an item of clothing was left in a common area and they would have to find it. Later in the show, he found some wrestling shoes left behind in the gym and wrote "U.S. 2, U.K. 0" on them. The Brits don't seem amused early on, but the pranks seem to be in the vein of last season's entertaining gags, rather than the disgusting ones. We're talking about shoes and pens, not sushi surprise and pee-soaked fruit, so that should tell you something.
So far, the camera likes Johnson, and he's able to give a good quote on just about everything that happens in the house or gym -- though he's gotten mixed reactions from the public. Past participants who have had a lot of face time have turned out to have decent careers after the show, especially when they're as entertaining in the cage as they are on the TV. The future will tell whether DaMarques Johnson fits in that category.
