More proof - as if it were needed - that Michael Bay is the devil:
Bay's production company, Platinum Dunes, is going to remake Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." (Oh, it's not a remake, according to this Daily Variety article - it's "a reimagining of Daphne du Maurier's short story." Give me a break.)
Naomi Watts will star in the Tippi Hedren role. Martin Campbell ("Casino Royale") is slated to direct.
Well, that's something, anyway. If Satan, er, Bay directed, he'd have to devise a way for the birds to drop large industrial parts on a freeway (e.g., "Bad Boys II," "The Island," "Transformers").
