Pitt and Penn on the Salt Flats?
Forget about Zac Efron sightings - Brad Pitt and Sean Penn may be shooting a movie in Utah in June.
"Tree of Life," a fantasy-adventure written and directed by the legendary Terrence Malick ("The New World," "The Thin Red Line," "Days of Heaven") and starring Pitt and Penn, will be shooting for a few days next month on the Bonneville Salt Flats and around the Great Salt Lake.
The Utah Film Commission doesn't know yet when the production will be shooting in Utah, or how much of the cast will be here.
If you want a chance to get up close and personal (or as close as an extra can get to a movie star), an open casting call is scheduled for next Saturday, May 31, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Deseret Peak Complex Firefighters Museum, 2930 W. Highway 112, Tooele.
Casting directors are "seeking families, spouses, siblings, children, grandparents and people with expressive faces between the ages of 5-65 with timeless, non-modern or unique looks."
