After winning top prizes at Sundance and Toronto, "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire" may be getting another honor: An Independent Spirit Award or two.

"Precious," the harrowing drama about a Harlem teen (Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe) and her hard life, got five Spirit nominations, it was announced this morning. It's tied for the lead with "The Last Station," a drama about Leo Tolstoy's final days, starring Christopher Plummer and Helen Mirren.
