Heading for center ring
I am about to head over to the Clark County Regional Justice Center for Warren Jeffs' extradition hearing. I expect a circus: there are dozens of media outlets here as well as numerous characters who've been part of this long saga, from Flora Jessop to Gary Engels.

It will be the first time many of the onlookers have ever seen Jeffs -- and it will be the first time in years that many of his loyal
followers see him in the flesh (via television) as well.

Well now only Osama is left to arrest.
Good work.
Now maybe this Jeffs fellow is a bad guy, I don't know but the presenting charge is "facilitating rape" if I recall correctly, because he officiated at a 16 year old's marriage to a polygamous 28 yr old.

What are the legal ages for marriage in America, vary state by state.
What were those ages back in say the 1920s? The same as today?

I would wager that girls in the 1920s were more naive, less mature than the same age females of today.

I am appalled, frankly, by the blatant dress and verbiage of the average young lady of today not to even begin to mention their behaviors. You can read many sociological reviews of THAT subject.

What was it about this man and say a Tom Greene that warrant the FBI and $100,000 reward. They say Osama did 9-11 and so he was 10 most wanted, but the main charge with Mr Jeffs is as I stated above. Something other than a natural concern for folks has been going on in this country for some time, either we all march in lockstep as good little cogs in the consumer society or ELSE.

Now maybe that isn't true but it just may in fact be so.

What does polygamy threaten that it is so vilified?

It is a queer morality when polygamists, of any sect, are prosecuted and persecuted by a so-called Christian government led by a Christian president and yet this same government and President will at one and the same time, send bandaids to Lebanon while sending smart bombs and cluster bombs to Tel Aviv which were then used on Lebanon. Somehow that is supposed to be RIGHT and folks like the late Alex Joseph, WRONG.

Maybe it is smarter not to question authority, sure is safer.

Good point in the last full paragraph.
