Fiduciary Bruce Wisan has said for some time that he would like to set up an advisory board in British Columbia to guide him in managing or disposing, if possible, of UEP holdings there.

The trust owns homes, buildings and land in Bountiful, a settlement outside Creston. The group split back around 2002 when Rulon Jeffs ousted Winston Blackmore. Now, part of the fundamentalists are aligned with him; the FLDS are led by Jim Oler.

Bruce does not have much contact or cooperation from the FLDS group in Bountiful, though they keep their taxes paid up. The FLDS group includes about 120 adults. There are an equal number of adults on Winston's side.

Winston's group decided to hold an election to come up with board nominees. There were nine people on the ballot and voters were asked to choose five people as advisory members. Some 85 people cast votes. Here are the results:

Duane Palmer

Hyrum Blackmore (one of Winston's sons)

Peter Blackmore (another of Winston's sons)

Richard Blackmore (Winston's brother)

Miriam Chatwin (Winston's niece)
