In USA Today
The nation's largest newspaper ran an interesting opinion piece this morning, the second one so far critical of the raid on the YFZ Ranch in Texas. It says 51st District Judge Barbara Walther referred to the raid as a ''cattle call.'' That's the first time I have heard that.

I am pretty sure it was not the raid itself. I think she said something about a cattle call in reference to getting all the lawyers together during the hearings. I know she mentioned a cattle auction when she called a lawyer up to speak when she thought he had signalled a desire to speak when he hadn't.
I'm pretty sure that you're right, brad. She called the proceedings with all the lawyers a "cattle call". At another point, when the lawyers were all talking at once, she called it a "cattle auction". If she called the raid on Zion a cattle call, it doesn't come up on searches.
This writer also attributed the Waco raid to elements that didn't make sense. I am relatively sure that there was a custody battle, with a complainant parent that prompted authorities to investigate.
