Big Love, big comeback
Wondering what's up for the new season of Big Love? I have not seen the previews. The TV critic is hoarding the DVDs! If I can figure out who to call at HBO I am going to see if I can round up a few screenings. But here is a provocative review from Salon writer Heather Havrilesky, which begins like this:

The woman you're dating loves your third wife, but she isn't crazy about your second. You're trying to pitch a casino to the representative of an Indian tribe, but he's suspicious of you and your religious beliefs. Your father-in-law is in jail and awaiting trial, and he's threatening to drag you and your family into it. One of your wives seems to be having trouble conceiving, but your beliefs and your happiness hinge on making your family as big as possible.

The third season begins Jan. 19.

I guess nobody is interested in this one, Brook. If you don't see it then I guess you didn't miss anything.

We are interested in the next season. We are waiting for the start.

Big Love is WAY more dramatic than most plural marriages. Glad people are learning SOMETHING.

Ignorance is not bliss.

Ahhh yes rambling, people are learning something, but not from some HBO fiction show, they are learning from the criminal activities in the news, from then researching the history of groups of polygamist. They are learning that people that practice polygamy as a "religious right" for the majority abuse children, rape children and abuse women.

I knew there was some reason I cancelled my HBO subscription. Making polylgamy into a serial for the entertainment of the average american couch potato is creepy beyond belief.

Yes all activist, please keep that kettle boiling. The only way the criminal activities of the FLDS are ever going to stop is by constant attention being brought to these activities.

Never let up until all members of this cult are safe!

Keep the criminal activities constantly brought to the public awareness and that public will continue to demand that law enforcement do their jobs and enforce the law.

Aaaannnd it's comments like these that let the public know that women truly are second class citizens in the FLDS. Obviously any woman in opposition to the Almighty preisthood is a "femi-natzi".
