Back in the Hunt
Stuart Reid, the former Salt Lake City councilman who ran for mayor against Rocky Anderson in 1999 before leaving moving to Ogden to work in economic development for that city, is back in the political fray.

Reid has just filed as a Democrat to run against incumbent Republican Dave Thomas for State Senate District 18, which covers the south Weber County area.

Reid worked in public relations for the LDS Church while on the city council before being named Salt Lake City economic development director by former mayor Deedee Corradini. Reid helped negotiate the sale of one block of Main Street to the church to be turned into a plaza between the Salt Lake Temple grounds and the Church Office Building complex.

Cheers,
Paul Rolly
