Forget Your Diet This Week
If you are a hungry person, or just like to eat, you should be a Republican delegate in Utah's 3rd Congressional District.

GOP challengers to incumbent Congressman Chris Cannon are aiming to capture delegates' hearts by going through their stomachs this week, as the convention looms on Saturday.

So if you are a delegate, here's what you do:

Today, you could have gone to candidate John Jacob's delegate breakfast meeting this morning at Mimi's Cafe in Murray and can still attend Jacob's delegate lunch at noon at the Sizzler in Orem. Then, you can cut out early and rush over to candidate Merrill Cook's delegate luncheon at the Olive Garden in Provo.

On Wednesday, catch Jacob's breakfast meeting at the IHOP in American Fork and his luncheon at the Sizzler in West Jordan. Cut out early and rush over for another sizzler meal at Cook's luncheon in West Valley City. Cap off the day with Cook's dinner for delegates at Carrabba's in Orem.

Thursday, pop over to Mimi's Cafe in Orem for another Jacob breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and eat lunch with Jacob at Marie Calendar's in West Valley City. Split early and rush over to Cook's delegate luncheon at the Brick Oven in Provo. Then enjoy Cook's delegate dinner at Famous Dave's in West Jordan.

Friday, apparently, is a day of fasting, leading up to Saturday's convention.

Cheers,
Paul Rolly
