Republican District Attorney candidate Lohra Miller logged onto the Clerk's Web site earlier to find out the polling location to cast her vote. Once she plugged in her address, she received a curt notice that there is no election in her area, so she is ineligible to vote until the next election.
Funny. Miller lives in Salt Lake County, and she lives in the 3rd Congressional District and — guess what? — there is a primary between incumbent Republican Chris Cannon and GOP challenger John Jacob.
Not only that, but there also is a Republican primary for county sheriff, between incumbent Aaron Kennard and challenger Brent Cardall. And she certainly is eligible to vote in that race. She's even a registered Republican.
Maybe, since County Clerk Sherrie Swensen is a Democrat, they didn't count Republican primaries.
Cheers,
Paul Rolly
