Zilch.
Nada.
No Way.
It's bad, says the Utah State Legislature, over and over and over.
So we have laws forbidding any form of that sinful practice.
And that's why stories floating from those close to the State Senate are so fun to hear.
It turns out a little Super Bowl pool, involving real money, made its way to the hallowed halls of the Senate, with some of our saviors placing their hard-earned cash in a pot, with the closest guess to the final score taking home the gold.
Rumor has it the security guys at the Senate were the ones who started the pool, being a bad influence on some of our innocent senators, who, it is said, participated in the cabal.
I'm not sure which senators took the bait and tossed in some money, but Sen. Scott McCoy, D-Salt Lake City, seemed to have a larger than normal smile on his face Monday after the winnings were distributed.
Cheers,
Paul Rolly
