What's worse is that Ridgway brought with him an elderly gentleman in a wheelchair who Ridgway was being paid to care for. When Ridgway was hauled off to jail, the gentleman was stranded in his wheelchair.
GOP officials brought him inside their offices where he called his son to pick him up.
This is the latest of a string of bizarre incidents involving Ridgway, who ran for the U.S. Senate as a Republican in 2006, and officials of the Republican Party.
Republican activist Mark Towner won a court order in 2004 requiring Ridgway to stay away from Towner, his wife Carrie and other family members. The Salt Lake County Republican Executive Committee recently passed a resolution banning Ridgway from holding any leadership positions in the party.
Last week's incident began when Ridgway came to the executive committee meeting, began causing a disturbance, according to party officials, and was arrested when police were called because he wouldn't leave.
He was booked into jail on a charge of violating the protective order issued to Towner because Towner's wife is a member of the executive committee and was at the meeting. He also was charged with stalking and criminal trespassing. He had bailed out of the jail by the weekend.
Cheers,
Paul Rolly

Actually, Ridgway is still in jail.
Serves the dumbass right for testing the waters once again.
Paul,
This is so tiring. Most of us Republicans really do just want to get along. How do you suggest we free ourselves of this morass?
A.W.
Mike,
I love ya man, but your credibility is shot.
I want to help you so here is the best advice I can give you.
Leave Evans and the Salt Lake County Cartel alone.
Move to another state and start over.
And remember, you can attract more flies with honey than vinegar.
Actually, leadership in the Utah GOP has found that they get the most flies when they plaster the walls with manure. Which is why Paul Rolly is such a valuable subcontractor as that is his stock in trade, as I shall demonstrate presently.

Paul, a correction is in order. The court order was in May 2006.
Today March 17th at the Salt Lake County Central Committee Meeting which was attended by over 300 precinct chairs the following resolution was ratified by a overwhelming majority in attendance.
"Resolved, that Mr. Michael Ridgway is hereby restricted from being an eligible candidate, from participating in, running for, or in being seated as any new Salt Lake County Republican Party leadership positions, including State and County delegate, State Central committee representative from Salt Lake County, and all other leadership and/or committee positions within the Salt Lake County Republican Party, until reviewed by the Executive Committee and approved with notice by the Salt Lake County Republican Party Central Committee."
Dear GenRolly-Wrong Paul:
Is it really true that you have once again mixed up your facts, as Mr. Mark "gag-order" Towner insinuates in his comments?
If so, will you be doing another retraction?
I mean, please correct me if I am wrong but wasn't that "correction" you posted about your last blog posting about me, in fact, your first public retraction since you began your gossip column duties with the Salt Lake Tribune? And if so, doesn't that qualify it as a milestone event in your career, as in your first step on the road to recovery from years of yellow journalism and character defamation carried out not only with malice, but with relish?
Respectfully,
Mike Ridgway
