One More Republican
Congratulations are in order to Republican National Committeeman Fred Lampropoulos and his wife Ann Marie, who gave birth this morning to a baby boy.

Lampropoulos, who is 57 years old, will be a busy guy. Besides his duties as an owner of an international medical supplies company and his political duties to the GOP, he is expected to run for chairman of the Utah Republican Party this summer.

Interestingly, though, if he is elected by Republican delegates, he will replace current chairman Enid Greene, who gave birth to a daughter right around the time she was serving in Congress. Her daughter is now a sixth grader and Greene will be leaving the high-profile political spotlight to get more into the soccer-mom mode. That's just like former Utah Attorney General Jan Graham when her son, who was born right around the time she was elected to her first term in 1992, got old enough to play sports and all those other things youngsters do that keeps their parents busy.

Cheers,
Paul Rolly
